The National Curriculum states that ‘music is a universal language that embodies one of the
highest forms of creativity’. At Ramsey Spinning Infant School we ensure that all children
take a regular, active and exciting part in music making. They have many opportunities
throughout the week to sing. The children use a range of instruments and experience music
through listening and appraising, composing and performing. Music at our school aims to
increase self-confidence, develop independence and encourage creativity. The school takes
part in local music festivals, both with other schools and in the Ramsey community. Music is
used daily in assemblies where it plays a powerful part in contributions to the children’s
social, cultural and spiritual awareness.
Joined by children from schools across the ASCA cluster, Ramsey Spinning Infants pupils attended the ASCA Choir concert. They sang their hearts out and performed amazingly for all who came to watch them. We are so proud of our Spinning Infants...
